Stamping process is a metal processing method. It is based on metal plastic deformation. It uses molds and stamping equipment to apply pressure to the sheet to cause plastic deformation or separation of the sheet, so as to obtain a certain shape, size and performance. Parts (stamped parts).
The stamping process occupies an important position in the automobile body manufacturing process, especially the large-scale covering parts of the automobile body. Because most of the large-scale covering parts of the automobile body are complicated in shape, large in structure, and some are spatially curved, and the surface quality requirements are high, the stamping process is used to The production of these parts is unmatched by other processing methods. The cab of the truck, the front sheet metal parts, the cargo board, the various body panels of the car and the various skeletons of the passenger car, etc., are almost all made by stamping processing methods.
(1) Stamping is a processing method with high production efficiency and low material consumption. The stamping process is suitable for the production of larger batches of parts, which is easy to realize mechanization and automation, and has high production efficiency. At the same time, stamping production can not only strive to achieve less waste and no waste production, but also has margins in some cases. The leftover material can also be fully utilized.
(2) The operation process is convenient and does not require the operator to have a higher level of skill.
(3) The stamped parts generally do not need to be machined and have high dimensional accuracy.
(4) Stamping parts have better interchangeability. Stability of stamping process is better, the same batch of stamping parts. Can be used interchangeably without affecting assembly and product performance.
(5) Since the stamping parts are made of plates, its surface quality is better, which provides convenient conditions for the subsequent surface treatment processes (such as electroplating and painting).
(6) Stamping processing can obtain parts with high strength, high rigidity and light weight.
(7) The cost of stamping parts produced in batches with molds is low.
(8) Stamping can produce parts with complex shapes that are difficult to process by other metal processing methods.
The stamping process can be divided into four basic processes:
Punching: The stamping process (including punching, blanking, trimming, cutting, etc.) that separates the sheet.
Bending: A stamping process in which a sheet is bent into a certain angle and shape along the bending line.
Deep drawing: A stamping process that transforms a flat sheet into various open hollow parts, or further changes the shape and size of the hollow parts.
Fine blanking: For products with high blanking precision, for products with high requirements on size and surface light volume, the process that meets the requirements of the drawings through the fine blanking die.
Local forming: The stamping process (including flanging, bulging, leveling and shaping processes, etc.) that uses various local deformations of different properties to change the shape of the blank or stamping part.
